Exceptional Craftsmanship, Endless Possibilities
“Nearly twenty years of shaping how spaces sound — and a conviction that the best acoustic work is the kind you never notice.”
Kevin Mario D’Souza’s journey to acoustics began with music. Classical violin from age 4. Tenor with the Cathedral Choir for over 25 years, accompanied by the Bombay Chamber Orchestra, performing at NCPA and St Andrews under conductors from around the globe. A decade behind the mixing desk, working with artists like Ustad Zakir Hussain, Shankar Mahadevan, Kartik Ilaiyaraaja, and Shreya Ghoshal.
The turning point came in 1996 at Magikraft Studio in Colaba — a room designed by renowned US acoustician John Storyk. In 2006, Sound And About was born to answer the question: how do you build a room you can trust?
Today, our work appears in five-star hotels like Hyatt and Sheraton; offices of Google, YouTube, Facebook, and the World Bank; institutions like IIT Bombay, American School, and DY Patil Medical College; and the private home theatres of Mani Ratnam, Chiranjeevi, Akshay Kumar, the Piramals, and the Singhanias.
Felt, not seen.
Strategic placement over wall-to-wall treatment. Precision over volume. A room that performs without announcing how.
